If you have another truck that is already 4x4 it wouldn't be to hard. If not there are several different challenges you would face. You either have to find a transmission and transfer case combination to use or you could find a divorced transfer case with your current trans. Then you have to decide if you want coil spring suspension or leaf springs. How are you going to do the steering and getting drive shafts made.

i got another truck, buts it 3/4 auto ,i heard that the 4x4 drive shaft is abit longer then the manual.the only thing i would have to get is tranny 5spd.should i up grade to a new tranny or find me a getrag
I've done it.
I used a parts truck to do it. It's not hard just time consuming. For you guys in the USA, it would probably be cheaper to buy the parts and piece it together.
I would use Jungles stuff from Ramcharger central if i would going to do it again.
Doing a leaf spring swap in easier the coils.
Crossover steering is a piece of cake if you leave the 2WD engine crossmember in.

No, it steers light just like it did in 2WD. I have no regrets doing the swap.

prolly be easier to just upgrade the tranny, im having a hard time finding a getrag, all i can find in my area is already rebuilt getrags, so unless you got 1400 to drop on a getrag, i would go ahead and upgrade
