Just got in the all the parts to make a custom 6" intake sys. based off of the whistler. Battery box needed to be modified but all in all i worked great and sounds even better.

Will be working on getting you some pictures, but at the time all I can get you guys is the part list. I you decide to order the parts be ready to modify the battery box. Also I had already traded out my stock batteries out for Interstate which are smaller in size. So I dont think that with the stock batteries it will fit. My passenger battery is shoved all the way forward and the rubber hoses are still tight against the battery.

Don't forget the clamps to keep the hoses and tubing together.
Will post pictures when I get back to the truck.

or you could do what I did. Just get a 4" to 6" reducer from a harfware store, and just use the stock pipe. $12, whistles just dandy.

That's a neat setup. So the turbo whistle is a lot louder with that? I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference.

I like the 6" to 4" reducer. $5.67 at Lowe's.... What is the filter everyone's using? Looks like the AFE 21-60507, Amsoil EaAU6081, K&N 1044, or something like that. The AFE is only $43 but I don't know the benefits of all their different media....

with the silencer removed even if a box isnt fully enclosed the turbo noise increases.. with my S&B the box one side is completly open so its really loud even at low speed... i can even here my turbo spinning still spinning right after i shut my truck off with this set up of no box at all i cant imagine how loud it is
