"MRC" stands for Master Ride Chassis, which is Napas inexpensive brand of chassis components. "NCP" stands for Napa Chassis Components which is Napas professional or higher quality line. I would reccomend the better grade if price isn't a issue. They also have a better warranty.

You could also upgrade to the Thuren bar; http://www.thurenfabrication.com/ or the 3rd gen bar upgrade, where all you need are brackets.

I called last week since mines bad. Napa said national warranty is 12mo. 12k on that part. I dont know where the "lifetime" thing came from. If it was lifetime Id do it tomorrow. Not sure what kind of replacement Im doing yet, but the rattling is starting to get to me.

The replacements typically last about 10-15k miles.
The 3rd gen bar is a sleeve/bushing at both ends and lasts much longer, but you need a bracket to replace the frame end mount.
The Thuren bar is a much heavier duty piece with a Heim joint type replacement for the ball joint end. Even if the end fails, it can be rebuilt for about $40. It is also adjustable, in case you do a lift kit.

I returned one just a couple of months ago, it still had a lifetime warranty then.
Napa p/n 272-4229 current retail was $139. I paid $179 for it three years ago.

There were 3 available warranties when i bought my Napa bar , cheapest was one year , then they had a 3 year , and then there was the lifetime warranty , each one was progressively more expensive , but not by much , so i bought the lifetime warrantied one, and yes , all 3 were different part numbers.

I`ll check back on that PN from Infidel ,the parts counter guy seems to get annoyed when anyone knows more they they do. I would like to do a OEM style bar because its just easier to ID.

Not sure if your truck is lifted or has a "leveler" on it.....
If so, I would consider an adjustable track bar as if your rig is lifted, it changes the geometry of the suspension and your front axle will not be centered with the truck. This will make the wheels not track straigh or "crab".
Take a look at solid steel type which is adjustable and eliminates the ball joint (which wears out very quickly - I've gone through 3 in 3 years.)

I really like my 3rg gen upgrade. my bar is adjustable for upto 4" lift as well. the middle bracket in the pic is for the upper mount conversion. Its bolt on, no welding. very heavy.
