2nd gen Tanks
Who knows the diff between the 3rd gen and 2nd gen fuel tank? does the 2nd gen have a high vent or does it need the the vent mod? can you grav. feed from an aux fuel cell on a 2nd gen tank without it leaking?

I haven't heard of a vent mod for 2nd gens. On mine, if I let it completely fill up with the gravity feed, it'll leak out of the top, but seems like it only leaks when moving. I think it's splashing out of the rollover vent, but don't know for sure. I just installed an electric valve so I can open and close it from the cab.

yikes! You need some sort of top-off mechanism like an airtight aux tank that needs fluid level in the main tank to go low before it can exchange fuel. Or even maybe an electric valve from an outfit like pollak. then you can fill the main tank from the cab with a switch.
The vent in the gas cap can still leak a bit of fuel. The rollover valve in the filler neck should help keep the big splashes down.
