I was wondering if anyone has put a 12 valve engine into a 2004.5 or 3rd gen truck? It has an automatic trans.

Is it possible or does the engine and trans need to be changed and what other mods?

Check your DMV laws first. The engine needs to be the same year as the vehicle it's going into, or newer than the vehicle it's going into to, in order to be legal.

Yes we can do it here in Iowa. There is no law from stopping us in doing what we want. But thanks for the heads up.

Has anyone done this? And will the 12v bolt up to the 48 or do I have to use a 47 from the 12v to go in with the engine?
