24V warranty Question

As i said earlier in a thread i just bought a 2001 CTD. It has just turned over 95K miles. Do i still have any type of warranty on the cummins? If i do, should i take it in for any type of "warranty work" before it turns over 100K miles. Any advise would be great.

If you haven't exceeded 5 years you do. Go to the dealer with your VIN # and have them print out your "build" sheet. That will show the month and day your truck was built. Some 01s still have a little time left, mine was built in late 00 so it had expired when I sold it last month.

build date has nothing to do with it...... in service date is what they use, and that will be on the print out also.

Exactly. 75% Or more of the 2001 trucks are most likely out of warranty time wise.

If I remember correctly, there is NO actual Cummins warranty.
I've read that Dodge buys the engines from Cummins without a warranty.
That's why D/C has to approve the repair before Cummins can perform a warranty repair.

I've heard the same about the warranty and that the cummins near me hates dealing with DC about warranty repairs becasue DC is so picky.
