Your turbo is wastegated isn't it? If it is you won't build more cause the wastegate will open and dump. I've got a power puck on my truck.....and that's it and I can build 30lbs of boost. One difference is my wastegate is not operational, cheap vise grips on vacuum hose and it won't open. I believe your edge(not 100% sure) will do the boost fooling for you. I have had my puck on there for 8 months or so and never popped a code and would hit 30lbs often before the conversion. Now, I want to save fuel but like the fact that it is there if I need it.

I don't have enough fuel adding toys to really get the boost higher and when I clamped the hose I went out on a test drive to see where the boost would stop, slowly testing, so I would not overspool the turbo. It has been proven on my truck with my tests that it will not build more than 30.

I know there are some places that sell a "J" hook type of thing that goes on the wastegate lever that will allow you to adjust it so it will still open at a predetermined level without building to much, if you crimp the hose, and it will not open. This way you don't run the risk of your turbo blowing the cold housing off.

Check this out, talks about boost elbow and the "J" hook depending on what your turbo is. Hx or Hy I suppose.

I have also hit 24 psi with my 99.. edge ez, edge boost elbow and nothing more! i know mine would be wastegated at 21 psi or so... why I can build more? maybe the boost elbow...?

The EZ is only a 65hp box, so you may not be able to create that much boost. How are your EGT's? If they are still cool, you don't want more boost then.

My puck is only 50hp or was it 60hp.....don't know. Point is, with the meager puck I can hit 30psi boost so you should be able to with the edge. Again, my method of "adjusting" the wastegate is a bit more crude than most would care or dare to do.

Know what I did, bought the pliers, stuck them on the hose and tried it. Found out it worked, priced out the elbow, j-hook and so on and decided I was to cheap and it was'nt enough boost to hurt the turbo, especially since it does not get "hot rodded".

take a pair of cheap hose crimp pliers from the zones tool section. crimp it(waste gate vacuum line) off, take your rpm up easily and see what kind of boost you get. I say easily cause your not looking at blowing your turbo, you'll have to watch your gauge and be ready to back off if you start pushing 35 or more. Then you know it works, find out what you need, elbow or j-hook and away you go.

Instead of wasting money on and possibly losing a pair of vice grips (no matter how cheap), go buy a 1/8" NPT pipe plug (probably less than $.25), unscrew the stock elbow and install the plug. Atleast you won't have to worry about items falling off on the highway.

i use the mentioned plug.... its great, some thread tape and everything is grand. and i see 35 PSI have been close to 40 psi (yes i know its way outta range for the turbo, i dont wanna hear it) with some very relativly low EGT's

The stock turbos are wastegated for about 21 psi give or take a few pounds. Even with a chip, you aren't going to see more than your 24psi unless you adjust the flow going to the wastegate.

Your Edge Comp already has boost fooling built in, no need for another box.
