22.5 rims and tires and towing

Do any of you guys with the 22.5 tire set-ups have any trouble towing since doing the swap? I have 38ft fiver weighing in at roughly 16k. Also what about the additional height. What height increases are you guys seeing at the bed rails?

I can't tell that big of a difference in the towing. Mine has the manual like yours and that helps a lot. It takes a little more to get them going, but it's nothing that the truck can't handle. I can't tell any difference when pulling out from a dead stop.

Don't know about bed rail height, but my setup lifted the truck almost 3" measuring from the ground to center of the fender wells.

Hope I answered your question some. You will get more feedback from some of the other guys too.

I love it for towing and my trailer grosses at 15.5K (tag). The height will be 2.95" taller. Hope this helps.

Pulling a 38ft fiver you will be ok. If you were taliking a 28 or shorter it wouldn't work. If you have bed rails I would recomend taking them off.
I have over 10,000 miles of 40,000 pound 5th wheel towing on the 22.5 and love them.
Just so you know I had to add airbags to the rear because if the truck squats to much they will rub in the rear.
