Anyone know if Dodge will be offering a single wheel 1 ton quad cab truck?

I am trying to decide what to do with my 05, either put money into it, or get a new truck.

The 06-09 3500s are so ugly, the exterior is ugly but the interior is horrific, compared to the competition its embarrassing. I am sure they will have deals on 09 1 tons but man, [yuk]

I hope dodge makes the 2010 affordable and treats returning customers right, or I'm going to a Ford [nonono][yuk][verymad]

Beauty is in the eye of the Beer Holder,

I think the 06-09 Exteriors look better that the 03-05.

I like the interior of both.

From what I read a while back, all diesels will be one ton, whether single or dual wheel. Cant remember the source, but I did read it.

I don't know what you call ugly But I like my 09 and for as Ford go buy one. We will see how long it takes for you come back to the GOOD LOOKING MIGHTY DODGE CUMMINS[laugh] Really you cant beat the deals they are giving on them mine was $52.900 and I hit right below $40.000. Good luck on your hunt for a Diesel.

It won't be a quad cab long bed, supposed to be a crew like the Chebbies and Furds.

I don't get why people like the Ford body style. It has been about the same for 10 years now. They changed the grille and headlights, that is about it. Looks like a big box to me. If I was a papaw I would get a Ford. I have worked with Ford Powerstrokes at work for 3 years now, 7.3 and 6.0 they suck. 7.3s have no power and the 6.0s get a new turbo and egr about every 7000 miles. No joke our 06 F-550 had 6 turbos in 32K miles! And 5 egrs! Yea get you a Ford!

I grew up on Fords, but after owning a Dodge, I will never look back. Plus, I am REALLY turned off by the fact that you can't do much work on the powerstroke without pulling the cab. That is absolutely rediculous to design a truck so restrictively. They could at least design a tilt cab for it.

I think you have it backwards, all 1-tons will be diesels (no Hemi 3500s):

TTT here.

Is there a 4th gen Long bed 4 door truck SINGLE WHEEL 1 ton? Or a diesel 2500 at least?

The single wheel long box is a big seller for dodge and ford. WHY would they drop it? What am I missing?

I test drove a crew cab long box 2500 today. Why wouldn't they make a SRW 3500?

As justcampin posted, I have one.

In my opinion the 3500 is so well engineered ride wise now and offers more work product, I'm not sure why you would need a 2500 these days. But, I don't live with both of them like some do.

I think they are priced pretty close? Over 5 years the difference probably wouldn't matter too much.
