Anybody already been out in 2008? Anybody camp in Virginia on a regular basis?

Does camping New Year's eve 2007 into New Year's 2008 count??

I pulled my Toyhauler down to an off-road riding park/campground for a long weekend of ATVing with some friends/family. Had a great time until I submerged my Brute Force 750 and killed it. It's all running well again now though.

And then we had a Sledpull/Dyno event a couple of weeks ago in Alvarado, TX. I pulled the Toyhauler down to that too so we would have a place to hang out. Don't know if you call that "camping", but it worked for us. It was mighty chilly outside and the heater in it was working great!

Mid-March is Spring Break....so still putting together plans for that trip.

Had our new to us Cruiser out at the NASCAR races here in Vegas last weekend. It was our shakedown trip so although we didn't have any problems was glad our first time out in it was close to home. And we found out how well the furnace works after the race on Sunday!

Ready to go for the first week of April. Just ordered a BD exhaust brake today to make pulling the TT more comfortable.

Just hauled a new to me 05 21' riverside TT back from cape cod to ct. in very windy conditions. It hauled great with my new Hayes Genesis brake controller. Now I just have to clean it up and I'll be ready to go.

We leave for South Carolina from Iowa thursday for the first camp of 2008 with our new 5er. It will be the first trip in this one and first time to SC as we usually head west. We will be at a state park near Duncan.

JPK.......I'm so jealous! You are either self employed, have tons of vacation time, or retired!! I wish I had your spare time to go camping that much!

Congrats to you. That is what life is all about. NOT working until your dog tired everyday and never get a break. I can't wait till retirement. (not that I want to be old to do it)

Just back from 3 weeks at Crystal River Florida. 1300 miles one way to avoid a couple of snow storms and find some warmth. Worth every penny of the trip, too! This retired life is tough but somebody has to do it.

Bill

PS Picked up running boards from MrDIY in NC. got the front pieces on in Fl, now waiting for some weather to get the rest on. (Thanks, Jason)
