2007 5.9L mileage?
What kind of mileage should I expect from my truck?
5.9L Auto 3.73 DRW 2WD
700 miles odo...
First tank was 17.5 (computer) and 15.5 (hand). Half way through the second tank and showing 18.2 (computer).
My 2003 Dmax was getting 18.5 (hand) on the same commute???
Commute is 80 miles per day, 1/3 city stop and go, 2/3 hwy at 65 mph.
Thanks!

I just turned over 2300 miles on my 07 5.9 6 SPEED, 2500, 4x2.. ( Probnably the best combo for good mileage..LOLOL) I also just completed a 1200 mile trip pulling my horse trailer in the arizona heat...
HAND CALCULATED:
22.5 EMPTY Hwy/ some around town
15.3 Pulling My 4 horse Living quarters horse trailer with 3 horses inside and water, fuel, etc...
NOt to shabby but I kind of have the "Ideal" set up for economy..

If I am on the highway, for the whole tank my overhead will climb to around 20.5 - hand calculated around 18.5.... thats just highway - if I do a little city driving like I usually do, I hand calculate around 16.5 - 17, depending on how much stop and go. Not a great comparison for your truck, but mine is in my sig. I have 10K miles

I have a 07 lwb qc 5.9 with the 48RE auto. It has 6k miles on it, and hand calculated if I stay below 70mph on the highway I can get 20mpg. I average about 19 on the highway. I was getting 16-17 when I first got the truck, right after 700 miles I pulled a few trailers for a couple hundred miles and I started to get better mileage. Not sure if it was from breakin or what.
I am very happy with the mileage I am getting. I traded a 05 duramax for it.

Truck is in my sig I average 14-15mpg. I dont drive like a grandpa but I dont race from light to light either. My truck has 22,000 miles on it granted I added weight with the flat bed but I had hoped it would be a little better.
