2006 torque convertors

what does anyone know about 2006 convertors. Automatics rated for e brake but did they make the convertor any better. 0 percent is back and thinking of getting mega cab to replace my 2002. It is headed for a torque convertor replacement.

Don't think they changed the converter, just changed some electronics to allow it to lock up in second and third gears.

The 06 48re seems to shift a little faster and doesn't seem to have as much slippage under load as the earlier models. I think I read the line pressure has been increased which would account for the difference I feel in the shifts. I don't know if the reliablity of the 48re has been improved but it does seem to drive a little better.
