So I bought my truck used and discovered the previous owner hacked the stock wiring at the rear bumper and removed the original factory plug (both sides of the bumper, the original 7 pin on the outside of the bumper is gone, as well as the plug that connected it to the wires). I'd like to return the wiring to stock, so I can buy and install the proper "T" connection to run wiring up to the bed. His frankenstein version was a chop and splice to get to the bed. I'd like to avoid splicing into those wires. Anyone know a source for the two plugs?

The bumper side can have both 4 and seven if you desire.. the in-bed harness is on the second line (part# is in my 05 sig) call them on the OEM harness connector..

The dealer will charge at least twice these prices..

Mine had the same problem.
If you do wind up splicing here are the color codes:
pin1 ground BLACK/ORANGE
pin2 electric brake DARK GREEN
pin3 park lamps BROWN
pin4 +12v RED/VIOLET
pin5 left turn YELLOW
pin6 right turn LIGHT GREEN
pin7 back up WHITE/LIGHT GREEN

I'm confusing even myself on this now, but correct me if I am wrong. I need to buy this:

Then I add this:

Valley Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness with 7-Pole - Dodge with Factory Tow Package

That should get me hooked up from the bumper to the 5th wheel, with a rectangular factory plug dangling on the back of the bumper. Now I need the plug to connect the truck's wiring to that rectangular plug. Any idea on that one? I can't seem to find it on the etrailer website.

Those are the parts you need.
That rectangular 10-way plug should be near the rear axle.
It's a permanent part of the factory harness.
If it's been removed then you'll have to either replace the harness from the dealer or scavenge one from a used parts lot.

It has been removed, gotta love people who think they are taking shortcuts!!! For a few bucks, he could have bought a T connector and run a nice setup to the bed and bumper.

Yeah he spent more time doing that than just plugging in the in bed harness.. the longest part of the job is threading it and installing the wire ties..

Yes, got it from steve white motors for $30 plus shipping, bought the factory bumper plug too for $15. Those guys have great pricing.

Now I just need to buy the t and get er done.
