2003 6 speed hard to get into gears.

I have a 03 2500 that I purchased new to pull my landscaping trailer and here lately it is extremely hard to get into 1-2 and reverse. I have almost 85,000 stop and go miles with 7500lbs behind it could the clutch be on it's last leg or is there something else that could be wrong with it? I changed over to amsoil fluids in the tranny and rear at 30k.

I know this doesnt help since your problem is a recent development, but mine has always been a little difficult to get into 1st and reverse (but not second).

Your sig says that its sold. First thing I'd do is change the oil in the tranny and see if there's an improvement.

Seems to be a common problem. Mine can be tough to get into gear after idling in neutral, and a buddy of mine has a truck that does the same thing.

How hard would the slave cylinder be to change out? Would this be covered on my bumper to bumper 100k warranty I purchased?

You might be needing to change tranny fluid again.
Also the stock hydro's in the new trucks are pretty much junk.
Sometimes throwing the shifter into 3rd then going over to 1st might help you out a bit.
