2003 2500 4x4 wheels fit earlier trucks?

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone has the quick link or answer here. Will the wheels from a 2003 2500 4x4 fit earlier 2500 4x4's? I've worn out my mouse finger looking for charts & searching, but can't find enough info. Any link to backspace of all the years? Help??

Thanks,

Guy

I believe but don't hold me to it that the 03 wheels will fit the earlier trucks equipped with rear disc brakes and not the other way around. The only reason the early wheels won't fit the later trucks is due to the increased brake size. The backside setting on my previous 01.5 was 6.25" which I also believe is the backside setting on the late trucks. If anyone has actually tried feel free to chime in.

Jonesey, your right about the '02s and down not fitting on the 03's. I don't see why the 03's wouldn't fit on an earlier model, especially since if the backspacing is the same. Unless the new models have hub-centered wheels, where the hub centers the wheel on the axle, not the lugs. I don't know if they do or not. That would be the only thing i can think of why it wouldn't work.
