2002 2500

mine must have an after market one on it.
it hits the front diff cover. it has a big collar on it surrounding the joint.

I have searched on here and really can not find what I am looking for.

what is a good replacement? where do I get it? how much am I looking at spending?

I bought a lifetime replacement MOOG from Orielly's for less than $330 IIRC and it has lasted me almost 100K miles. I get one free replacement and next time I might do the 3rd gen upgrade.

if you have the money and want a better product. not all moog or oem replacements will last. 20k miles. I would look at a DSS. or BD or a dt-pro fab trac bar. they are adjustable and have replacement bushings on them. they will outlast the frame.

Sounds like someone may have put the wrong Thuren on it. I forgot the details but one of his bars wouldn't clear so I went with a 3rd gen. Give Don a call. He makes good stuff.

i've had my DSS for 7yrs+ & my Thuren for 5yrs+ no problems with either and stiffened up the front end.

I don't think the other will work either. unless that spray can measurement it tucked way up against the frame.

it is actually cheaper then the non adjustable with the change over kit.

I have the DT pro fab tracbar in hand.

HOW THE hell do you tighten....

the Jam nut heim adapter to 470 lb ft of torque???

and!!! the Jam nuts on the adjustment bar to 525 ft lbs!!!

can that be right??

that is what the instructions say. I don't think I have ever seen anything with that torque spec on a truck.

A water tower maybe, those were 4 inch bolts.......... a truck NO...

maybe I figured this out.
is one ft lb of torque, one pound of force, one foot from the center of rotation?

so for 520 ft lb of torque I would need a 10 foot bar on the wrench and put 52 pounds of pull on the end of it... still sounds like a lot!!

if memory is correct impact first and then a tq bar. not sure how tight I got mine. but make sure after 200 miles or so do a re-check on the bolts. its awlful shiney. you will be happy with that bar.

I am working in a gravel drive way.
I am not sure I can even jack the heavy beast up.
guess I will throw a steel plate under the floor jack.

also, I am guessing the mount is bolted to the stock mount, then to the cross member.

ok install pictures in the instructions really suck, not sure what I am looking at.

do I need to take off the sway bar to drill? also think that maybe my steering box is leaking. pretty greasy under there.

re located the crank case vent. still pretty nasty looking.

this was my only short write up with pic's on it. have you tried to call DT-pro fab. I know I had to call them on something, been to long cant remmember.

Just found out my trackbar is shot (1" play on ball joint end)
Would DT pro fab bolt onto my 01 2500, I have no lift. Would it fit around pumpkin and not hit it?
How hard is it to install?
