well i got a 2001 ford 5.4L with the auto transmission and i have a 99 12v commercial motor out of a ottawa 30 yard truck. i am woundering just exactly what i need to do this conversion. i looked on destroked they dont have much info on their site. i am also woundering will this transmission hold up to the torque of the cummins and how would the transmission work? i dont know if the truck has a separate computer for the trans or not? would it be easier to get a zf 5 or something. i really dont want a transmission they put in dodges...no offense but to me they suck.

call Scott at destroked.com. he'll answer all your questions. you'll need a transmission controller to make things work, intercooler(for better performance), bigger radiator, different fuel gauge/sender. on the bright side, you already have the gasser throttle cable[laugh]

ok i am gonna call scott sometime this week...but the motor i have didnt come with a intercooler so i would have to change out the intake and i can get a hold of a 1st gen powerstroke intercooler. i was thinking about going with a zf 5, i would like the zf cause i had great experinces with them before.
