2001 dodge ram 2500

I am thinking abot getting a 2001 ram 2500 is there any thing that i should look out for??

fuel pressure!!! rust under doors, tightness of front end, others will chime in ...

I know that i doors rust out on the ext cabs but do they still rust out on the reg cab?

look for the 53 block. That is very important.

Most likely will not find a 53 in an '01. Most of the 53's were used up by then. It will most likely have a 55 block in it, but you never know....

I would say fuel pressure first the check to see if any codes and the history on the vp44 and lp. After that front end stuff like steering and ball joints just my thoughts

How do i tell if it is a 53 block? what is wrong with the 53 blocks?

fuel pressure 4 sure but do not let it scare ya outa buyin one great trucks tho take yer time and look for a while look south got mine last year with 86k on the clock ..they ride like a truck and are not car ,,, me like

If she has disk brakes all the way around its a 01.5. Def check out fuel press. You'll know everything else on the test drive.
