2 part question

1. Should there be any leakage around the Transmission Pan. B/C I do.

2. I just noticed what looks to be a breather tube (black) that looks as though it comes all the way from the top/back of the motor to the bottom just above the front differential. and it's leaking what I think is dirty oil? leaked enough to get the back side of the diff oily.

are these leaks normal

That is the blow by vent from the crank...

It is normal for it to drip/splash back some.

Just my opinion but a truck that new shouldn't be leaking anything. Make 'em fix it......if you can trust them to actually fix it.

The blow by tube is a normal occurrence, it may spit out a little oil from time to time. You can fasten a plastic bottle to the hose to catch it if you wish, just remember to empty it once in a while.

Sounds like the pan gasket is leaking a little on the tranny, it may just need to be tightened up a little bit. If you do it yourself, be sure to follow the torque specs as the bolts are threaded into aluminum and can strip easily if you gorilla wrench it

Refill amount- you kinda gotta play it by ear. The trans will hold over 12 quarts, but on a service, you get less than half out. Put in 5 quarts, then run the truck and check the level. Repeat as necessary.
