I voted for the last option, because that's where mine is. I have a lighted switch (switch and indicator all in one) mounted to the side of the plastic by the t-case shifter (along with my aux. backup light switch).

That's where I have seen all of them. Not that I don't like that, I'm just trying to make everything look as stock as possible. I want people to have to look for the mods. I will be drilling out my shifter arm tomorrow. I picked up a flush mount lighted rocker switch today that will be in the top of the shifter ****. I'll do a "how to" page with part numbers etc.

We put a flush mount, lighted rocker in the plastic right above the high idle box on mine yesterday. You don't even notice it until you flip the switch and the light comes on.
