anyone have any recommendations on which kit to go with? right now im looking at pro comps kit. just wondering if it changes the ride quality much. and if they come with install instructions or if anyone can point me where to look at for instructions. thanks

I have the hell bent steel, the instructions are easy and it only took me about 1.5 hours to do it. The passenger side can be a PITA. I used spring compressors for that side. I have done three now and they have all turned out perfect and you don't loose your ride quality.

I have the HBS kit as well, and I will agree that the passenger side was more of a PITA.

I have found that I feel a bit more of the flex in the front suspension since it now has a bit more room to flex before it hits the stops. I have a buddy with the same kit and he noted the same effect. I mainly feel it when I go over speed bumps slowly. The front end just seems to dip a little more.

I think my alignment may be out of camber a bit, have you noticed the same?

Not really, I have had the kit on since two days after I bought the truck so it seems normal to me. It rides very nice, I did an alignment but the guy said it was barely out, but the truck was new so I didn't want to over look it.

The passenger side is really easy if you just unbolt the track bar. It's one bolt that takes less than a minute to take out and there's no prying necesary to get the spacer in.

Everybody says that you just need to unbolt the track bar, and I did. I still had troubles.

I did a RevTek, and I had it done in about 45 mins. I unbolted the track bar and was able to slide both sides in with no problems. The ride didn't change that I noticed. I had it aligned and the guy told me it was off by enough to ruin some tires.

Does a 2" front lift require a spacer for the sway bar?

With only 2" you can get away with doing nothing else, but anything bigger would require a lot more parts.
