It was in some 2000 models I believe, even though this was before the 2001/2002 HO model came out.
Outside of these 2000 models, it was only in the HO 2001/2002.

I had a 12/98 truck with one. so a early 1999 model.
truck got totaled 3 months and 1800 miles later and the dealer was generous enough to take that tranny and help if find its way into my 98 12 valve (that was still on their lot a year after the last 12v was produced) before the salvage company came to get the old truck.
best $600 upgrade i ever had a dealership do for me
also it was an option on SO models
the 99/00 model had the 1-1/4 input and small flywheel, the 01/02 model had the big flywheel and 1-3/8 input
