My buddy has an 05 4wd QC SWB Auto. Hes been running the triple dog downloader with crazy larry, and now his tranny has been messed up. He took it in, and they found out he'd been running it at the track and had had a tuner on it. So they wont fix it under warranty. Now hes gonna sell the bully dog and is wondering to get next. He's thinking of getting a diablo or a banks. Or he would get injectors. He wants something that wont mess up his tranny again. What chip would be best for this?...He does tow a bit and races it frequently. Also can he run injectors without a tuner? It seems to me youd need more fuel pumped to it like my 1st gen does, but I know nothing of the commonrail. Thanks.

Sounds like he needs to Call suncoast and keep the bully dog. Whatever your friend does he is going to need a tranny why not build it right and Keep racing? Is he thinking the Bully dog messed up something electronic or did he break it due to HP.

Well he is not a genius. Hes been running crazy larry and the high performance with no chips and running the 'yellow flag' out of it. He was gonna get bd upgrades to it and keep running but has to sell his chip to pay for the $1500 of tranny work since dealer wont touch it. He is close to being in over his head-he bought the truck when we were still in high school and can barely make his $5-600 monthly payment as is, without trying to buy a new tranny. I told him he could get a better tranny for just a little more than fixing his is costing, but like I said he is not a genius...I can say that cause Ive been his best friend since 2nd grade and know what hes done. Ill see if I can talk him into a suncoast or similiar. oh and part of his fix hes getting done is a hd torque converter and shift kit...Will this help him much?

I hope you can get him straightened out. I cant answer your tranny questions Ive always had handshakers How did the dealer find out about his programmer and all the racing?

He had rubber on the wheel wells and the he had teh number still on the window from running at Kennedale. They said they knew he had crazy larry so i dont know how they figd thatout. I just talked to him and he told me it wouldnt even move whatever he did to it. He barely has teh money for what hes doing to it now and has to have his truck. I cant do anything but laugh at him. We have a buddy with an 04.5 auto and hes had nothing but trouble with his tranny, but dealer fixed his every time. I warned my buddy when he bought his 05 to get the stick cause the only really good auto dodge had was the one from mine. He didnt listen and now says he shouldve. Oh well...

well the new TC won't do all that much with out a VB he will still ahve problems with the TC slipping. his best bet is to sell his programmer and fix what is needed in the tranny (10 to 1 he has burned up the front band as well) and a TC and VB then he will be able to do his towing and still play a little then when he has the cash get another programmer. with the injectors if he doesn't go about 50 hp he won't really have a problem draining the rail to badly. the injector really don't give you much with out the supporting mods behind them. feel free to pm me if you have any other questions
