1998 12 valve greasecar install help needed!!!
Hi Everyone! I need help!!! I am attempting to do my second conversion, which is a greasecar kit on a 1998 Dodge 2500 Pickup with a 12 Valve Cummins. At this point I have my greasecar kit spread out on the garage floor and I have been going nuts for the last 24 hours trying to figure out the best place to mount my filter and solenoids. I also need to figure out the best route to insatall my HIH. Greasecar directions give no suggestions for any of this, (Big Dissapointment!). My only other install experience has been on a 1982 Mercedes 240D last year. I guess I got lucky with that one because the 240D engine compartment had much more room and the greasecar kit came with a install CD that had some usefull photos. I would really appreciate any help, thoughts, photos!!! Thanks! I am from Red Hook, NY

Im doing a homebrew kit with some boat tanks, vormax filter, etc. I havent got to the hose in hose part yet but Id imagine you could just follow a frame rail. Assuming your tank is in the bed youd need to drill a hole in the floor or side to get down.
Theres piles of places to bolt on filter or solenoids. Theres two shallow areas under the driver and passenger as well as two big spaces between the cab and the leaf spring mount.
Id aim for a spot on the frame itself or barring that some kind of homemade hangar from the frame.
The solenoids can be anywhere really. Id get an aluminum plate and drill and bolt the solenoids to it, then to the frame.
One thing you will need to worry about is how to connect to the injector fuel return lines. I think frybrid sells some machined fittings with their kit for this and they wont sell them separately =(
Theres another guy on here thats close by and hes got some great info on this stuff, hopefully he'll chime in soon.
