i put the cummins motor and tranny out of a 97 2500 in my 04 ford and i need to power the computer a have the whole dodge wire harness still on the motor and tranny i just dont know what wire to power on the computer any one have any ideas?

Computer on a 97? Uh no.. 12V power to the WIF-fuel heater circuit. 12V power to the fuel solenoid hold circuit and start 12V power to the pull circuit. The PCM controlled the heater grids, but that will have to be a manual control item now.

its a automatic idk what tranny i got the motor running no problem its just the trany im having problems with it dont shift outa 2nd without any power run to it the motor and tranny are all wired together i just un pluged the three plugins off the driver side inner fender when i pulled the motor and tranny out of the dodge the computer is still in the wire harness on the cummins motor and the dodge tranny i just need to know what wire to run power to on the dodge pcm

The best thing you can do for yourself is get the factory service manual for 35 bucks from Genos Garage.

It is factory licensed, and you can delve deep into everything, has a pretty good explanation of operation as well.
I can assure you it is more than just adding a 12 volt wire.
