1995 -lights blinking ???

1995 2500, Headlights irradically blink off momentarily. sometimes JUST the radio time display will come on real bright . like 'Christine' in the Fury ,
all gauges still work fine,normal gauge lighting unaffected.any help appreciated. DAVE

Hello, sounds like your headlight switch is going bad to me. I had the same problem with my headlights but the radio lights were unaffected. My problem was the multifunction switch on the steering column though . So thats why i say it's the headlight switch on the dash. From what i hear it's a pretty common problem.

Does it happen when you 1st start the truck, when its cold out. Cuz if it happens then, then its your grid heaters warming up. I asked about it too.

If not, then I'm not sure, unless you are drawing power from your batteries (stereo system, ect..)

Thanx guys , It's not the grid heaters I'm used to that . i believe it is the headlight switch once i got a chance to wiggle everything I can make it do it at will. I actually had a guy pull over in front of me tonight on the way home. maybe I'll leave it alone:-), DAVE
