1995 Club Cab Speakers
Anyone know what size speakers are in a 1995 Club Cab? The openings for the front (door) speakers look bigger than the ones in the back (side panel). I would like to know the diameter and maximum depth of both front and rear speakers so I can buy some replacements before I remove all of the interior.
I am replacing the carpet, headliner and door panel fabric and figure since I will have everything apart I might as well replace the speakers at the same time. Tried a search but couldn't find anything.
Thanks!!

The front doors are a 6X9" (can't remember on depth) the rear are a 6 1/2". The factory rear are a two tab mount but you can use a normal speaker just drill 2 more screw holes, or mount the same as stock.

Thanks for the reply! From looking at the size of the grills I would have guessed 6-1/2" in the doors and 5-1/4" in the back! The front grill doesn't look big enough for a 6x9.

They give all the specs you'll need. I can tell you that the 6 X 9' s WILL fit even though they say they won't. The magnet just touches the the window bracket but doesn't cause any problems. I've had Pioneers in my 2500, 6 X 9's front and 5 1/4's in back, for 4 years now and they sound great! Good luck!

Thanks fourstrokethunder,
Neat website! It does actually list 6X9's for the front doors. I wouldn't have believed it! Now I can go buy all of the stuff I need and not worry about it fitting.

On my 96 club cab the front door will hold a 6x9 but you do have to watch the depth not only going into the door but also coming out from the door. I had some nice clarion 6x9s that didn't go to deep in the door but stuck out a bit much. The door panels went back on ok but there was a bulge in them from the speaker. Also inside the door make sure and keep your wires away from the window. More than once lowering the passenger window unhooked my speaker until I got smart and made the wires about 2 feet longer so that there was plenty of slack in them.

Yes the grill looks way to small. The nice thing about dodge is they have used the same size speaker in the door from the 80's up to 2002 (don't know on the 3rd gen haven't had to do one yet).

Does any one know the maximum mounting depth of the front speakers? I am going to be ordering a set of components frot the front doors on my truck, and this is a concern of mine.

Sure does! I'm looking at a set of Rockford Fosgate P162S. They are 2.6" deep, so now I KNOW they will fit. I was sort of affraid to get them at first.
I've never been a really big fan of Rockford Fosgate stuff, no reason really, just been exposed to other brands. I went by a local shop of mine and heard these and they rock! They have two tweeters which can be mounted in or out of the speaker. I plan on putting one on the speaker, and one behind the pillar in the factory location.
