Is 18-007-04 include 18-037-04

Had my truck get the milage flash - asked for 18-037-04. The sticker in the engine bay said 18-007-04. I asked teh tech & he said that that the 18-007-04 includes 18-037-04.

Can someone here confirm?

My paperwork said 007 and the sticker in the engine compartment said 037. It is my understanding that the 007 does include the 037.

I believe it's the opposite, i.e. 037 includes 007 since 037 didn't come out until approx. 6 mos. after 007.

After the TSB 18-037-04 was done was a sticker placed on your truck showing it was done? If so where would it be. I just had it done and the service rep said my paperwork, and it does, would show it was done. I didn't see a sticker though. Will let you know if the mileage improves. I built an excel sheet and have been tracking my mileage, among other stuff, since I bought the truck in April. Also had the fast idle enabled. Works like a champ.

Can anyone explain how to check to actually tell we received the TSB 18-037-04, the dealer WROTE 18-007-04 on the sticker and on the paper work that I received back but told me they REALLY installed 18-037-004.....

I have heard that you can check a code, how? Somewhere I ready you turn the ignition key three times to see the failure codes and ECM updates, where do they show up and how do I read them? Do I need a special tool or something??

Hi all,

Just discovered and joined this forum. Drinking from the firehose (feelslike) now. About the TSB business: is there a place here where I can read through them and figure out what's needed.

I LOVE this truck. Some things I'd like to make better. Got to reprogram for the tire change and current mileage is about 15 at 70-75mph. (7500miles). I'd like the tranny (48RE) to upshift a bit sooner. Maybe like 44mph instead of 50. And the high-idle using the cruise control sounds really nifty.

The truck is a 2004.5, delivered at the end of August. What else might it need?

Rod, The dealer needs to run a scan on your truck to see what TSBs, if any, have been done and then he can bring it up to date.
