170 to 215 pump swap
Just wanted to know who has done a 170 to 215 IP swap?Want to know the perforamce gains by doing this swap. The 215 pump will get the 3K springs and the #10 plate.I will also be keeping the stock HX35 turbo.

I think it would be a nice upgrade because the 215 pump seems to get alot more aggresive with just a plate compared to the smaller pumps. I guess u'd just have to wiegh to price and gains. If u get a great deal on a 215 pump i'd do it, then u can sell the 170 to re-coupe quite a bit.

I would take the 170 to a pump shop and see how tricked out they can make it IMO. If you are going to get crazy with power than you *could* have the advantage of extra EXTRA rack travel that the 215 can not do.

I went from a 180 pump to a 215 pump and the 215 injectors. I installed the #10 and GSK kit at the same time and its a real kick in the pants. I would guess it was somewhere around 100hp. You will out of air with the stock turbo

Not to steal your thread but I was wondering what kind of flow can be had with a 160 pump? Can this be turned up accordingly by the right pump shop or would I be better off just getting a 215 pump and going that way??

I'm running 215 injectors with a 180 pump 10 plate and 3K gov.
3500 RPM, 38 PSI boost and runs like a striped *** ape. I pull a 40 foot 5'er and have power to spare. Even in the hills.
