Has anybody tried these? I see them on ebay for only 10 bucks and if the reception is the same I will buy one!! The stock antenna is SO ugly and whips all over the place when I drive small mountain roads that are narrow with trees.

I bought one,, looks cool,, just wish I could get it on my truck,, the supplied adaptors that are in the box dont seem to fit anything that I own, they even sent me another set,, I dunno,, have to try and fab something I guess

I have one on my truck that I got off ebay has good reception around town but not distance like a factory one. Had to work with a little to get it on truck, but made it happen and looks a whole lot better.

Don't remeber real positive, but I think I used one of the oversized adapters and kind of made it go in with pliers. Threw factory away so no going back, but it does look good with it. Had trouble like you with it fitting, but sometimes you got to make things work.
