12v Temp Gauge not working

On my 12v cummins my temp gauge on the dash was not working. So i changed the temperature sensor on the block of the engine. Then I started it up waited a half an hour and nothing still. Does anyone have any ideas or ever had this issue?, thank you for looking and your answers are greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Well try a firm tap to the gauge itself. Maybe it's stuck, could also be the gauge itself is toast. Maybe the electrical is broken to the gauge too.
I would trace the wiring to the gauge first after tapping if no go.
Good luck.

Thank you, the problem with tracing the wiring is that it goes right into a cluster of wires and is untracable. However I will try what you said. Even if it is toast It would be tough to re-wire it.

If the truck was just sitting there idling it's likely it didn't warm up enough to move the gauge.
Go out and drive it.
