its fairly simple. pull the injector lines and return lines off the injectors. remove the nut around the injectors and some will wiggle right out. if not, i found that putting a nut on top on the injector (where the lines go in) and prying on them with a pry bar works great. I forget the thread on the top of the injector but you can take your new ones into home depot and figure it out. make sure you get new washers that are the same thickness for the new injectors. hit the injector hole with brakleen to make sure its clean and slap the new ones in the same way the old ones came out. some people use a little grease to hold the washer to the injector while installing them. torque the injector nuts to 70ft lbs and call it a day. dont forget to put the rubber o-ring on the top of the injector nut when reinstalling too. good luck!

I did not totally remove my injector lines. I disconnected them from the injectors and then propped them on top of the tappet covers with a couple of screw drivers, just high enough out of the way.

The injectors I bought came with the nut to pry them out. I have also heard that a wheel nut is the same thread. #6 was not fun... But by not removing the entire fuel lines saved me from having to bleed the system down to restart.

I cleaned out the injector holes with cleaner and a brush. Then after I unplugged the fuel shutoff solenoid, cranked it quick with the starter to blow out the holes.

Be sure to use clean washers only torque them once. I used some light nickle antisiezure compound on the nut threads for the retainers.

Personally, I'd pull the whole set of injector lines off. The p-pumps don't even need the lines cracked to bleed them, just crank it and let it idle for about 15 seconds and it smooths right out. Try that with a VP!

If you are putting in aftermarket injectors, find out what washer thickness is needed. My F1's used .020 washers, the stockers had ones that were around .060" thich.
