12v F1 H-2 Cam questions
I know this has been beatin to death but I didnt see the questions asked that I have. I'm looking to put a new cam in my 12v in hopes of a faster spool up on the sps62. Its a bit slow for my likeing. So whats the deal with the "new" F1 helix 2's? As far as I understand they only come with bolt on gears now and they come in 2 flavors. the regular one that I think is advertised as "moderate" power and a billet or forged or something. It's a daily driver with the mods as listed below. I'm going to put in the 60# springs at the same time. what materal should I go with and are there any other variations in the helix 2 other then that?
thanks

The cams grinds are the same.... The billet cam is stronger so you don't have to worry about breakage. But with a 12mm pump you should be fine running the cast cam.

Yup as said all Helix 2's are the same profile billet or cast. And they havent change anything besides the pricing which is alot less now. Before you could get just a regular style cam that would just press on and they had a $200 bolt & Retainer option to eliminate gear walk off. But now all of the H2's are supplied with the Bolt and retainer for $488

As I understand it now they all use your factory gear that you press off the old cam?
Sounds like the regular cam is the way to go unless the billet ones are not to much more $$. Does anyone know some good venders that carry them?
thanks
