12 Valve Turbo Questione? (how Big For All Around)

I WAS WONDERING WHAT TURBOS HOT 12 VALVES ARE RUNNING THAT SLED PULL AND DAILY DRIVE. I STATED IN ANOTHER POST THAT MINE IS NOT A BAD SETUP, BUT COULD BE BETTER. IT PULLS AWESOME, TURNS 70 PSI AND I HAVE NEVER SNUFFED IT OUT AT THE END OF THE PULL EVEN WHILE PULLING IN LOW 4TH WITH 3.55's. BUT EXHAUST RUNS 1800*. FOR DAILY DRIVING IT IS VERY SMOKEY UNLESS YOU DRIVE AGRESSIVLY (TO AGGRES. WHEN HAVE THE WIFE AND KID WITH YOU). SO BASICLY MY QUESTION IS HAS ANYBODY ELSE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD AND FOUND SOMETHING THAT IS BETTER. IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE PERFECT BECAUSE THATS IMPOSSIBLE WITH A SINGLE, JUST BETTER ALL AROUND. I HAD TWINS AND THEY ARE FINE, JUST NOT WHAT I WANTED TO DEAL WITH AS FAR AS DRIVE PRESSURES AND WASTEGATES. I LIKE SIMPLE THINGS AND DIALING IN TWINS IS NOT EASY OR QUICK. IM SURE THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED A THOUSAND TIMES ESPECIALLY BY NEW GUYS, BUT FEEDBACK FROM EXPERIANCED GUYS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Your best bet woud probably be the Silver Bullet, and with a stick you should be able to daily drive it fairly good.

Hey Guys, I Figured S300 Would Be The Answer. But What About The Differance Between Ii And Htt. With Roughly $500 Diff, Has Anybody Compared The Sled Puller 66 To The Silver Bullet. Do You Know Of Anybody That Has Killed One And What Did They Do To Kill It. I Have Killed A Few Turbos (lessons Learned Huh). Will Either One Handle 4300 To 4500 Rpms When Pulling A Sled?

Yeah the Silver Bullet will out perform the Sled puller 66 on the top end high rpm because it has a better exhaust side, and will have alot better street manners

So You Think The Silver Bullet Is The Better Choice Over The Sled Puller. Does Industral Inj. Have The Same One Year Warranty As Htt? What About That New Phat Shaft 71? Is Anbody Running That On A 12 Valve Yet. It Is A Bigger Turbo, But Since You Can Get It In A Wastegated Housing, I Wonder If That Would Give It Good Street Spoolability? (is That A Word?)

I'd look at a Pro Street 66/71/16ss for your app. It's got a smaller(71mm vs74) turbine wheel than the Silver Bullet, and the stainless housing has been said to help with spoolup. I'd think that the larger housing would make up the flow difference, but shouldn't surge too bad. I've heard nothing but good things on both the Pro Street and Silver Bullets, even for use on a 12 valve, they are good runners.

Good info. I have heard many good reports on both turbos, I am looking to put one or the other on my own truck and have been studying up on them. Thanks for adding that in.

It Is Interesting To Hear What Your Experiance With These Turbos Have Been. Thats The Info I Was Looking For. My Main Concern Is That I Dont Get To Small And Snap Shafts Or Grenade Compressor Wheels. I Dont Mind Fixin A Turbo But Buyin New Intercoolers And Takin Heads Off Is Not On My List Of Fun Things To Do.

I Am Still Wondering If Any 12 Valve Is Running That New Phatshaft 71? Ii Said They Have A Guy Running It In Florida And Its Works Really Good, But It Was On A Third Gen. Supposably its a really fast truck and the guy loves it.
