12 valve problems
We recently bought a 93 dodge 250 diesel and it was sitting for about a year and it had about a quarter of a tank of diesel. there are no leaks and it runs fine at idle until you hit the gas, then it misses and if u hold down the pedal long enough it will smooth out again. we filled it up all the way with new diesel and added fuel addative. it still does the same thing.

Did you change the fuel filter?
Also, with a diesel thats sat with little fuel in it, its a goof idea to get an aditive with an algeacide. (check with yer local diesel IP rebuilder) A form of Algea will grow in the tank of a diesel.
Give it some time to clean it self out.

I'd drain that tank and run it through a good filter or put it in the tractor or the furnace. If it's got crud in it it'll just keep plugging the fuel filters until you get it all run through. It would have been much better if you'd drained the old fuel then filled it up with new and trashed the old stuff.

yup most likly the fuel filter i had the same problem, i would stomp on it and it would flutter out and then rev back up, so i replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the lines out and such, and it runs like new now.
