Bigger turbo, or twins, 4gsk, 0 or 100 plate, some dv's, depends what injectors u have right now, check out the perfomence section for hours of reading on any kind of power mods.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...splay.php?f=91

What did u swap the 225 pump from since none came stock with it?

How much power do you want and how much money do you want to spend?

Post more details of your truck...You should be at least 350 HP now.In my '95,I installed 3K springs and #10 fuel plate(all the way forward) and dyno at 326HP running 60% bio and 40% winter diesel.

Ok here we go, I took the truck to have it brought up to high 215 hp ratings, they built the pump and installed 215 injectors that was 3400 bucks, I have also had a 4,000$ auto tranny built, billet triple converter, whole deal. So thats what I thought I had, 225 hp (never dynoed) I raced a 6.0 powerstroke and smoked it (literally) So I got curious, gale banks says with the ammount of smoke I claim, I have 100 hp over stock. is it possible that I do have 300 hp and the mechanic is wrong? And yes it does smoke quite alot, 1 week and I have a black fender not to mention my poor 4 wheeler. The mechanic says my tranny allows my victories, but honestly,I dont think so. I can smoke a hell of a burnout, and I drive a 1998 3500 4x4 quadcab 12 valve, stock tires and suspension. oh and a k&n filter. so what do yall think? any help is great, thanks. another thing I can set cruise hauling a 8,000 lb skid steer and 2,500 lb trailer at 75 and never down shift no matter what hill, in florida anyways. And if they never put it on a dyno do they even know what power they're getiing with the 215hp pump and injectors? Is it 225 hp like they say?

I would hope so...I never saw too many good hills on Florida when I'm down there!

Basically, if you were charged $3400 for a set of 215 injectors and a pump calibration you got HOSED! Brand new 215's can be had for $500, and you can get anything you want done to a factory pump for ~$1500.

Do a search for "fuel plate" and look to see what yours looks like...if they put in an aftermarket plate, slid it all the way to the front of the truck and go. If it looks like a factory plate, buy (or make) a #10 or #100 plate and slide it all the way forward!

But doing a search, you should find all the info you need! Also, try and find a post started by TXDiesel007 for a basic starting point for bombing!

Good luck...you picked a good place to come for info!

With the smoke and power you are talking about, I really hope you have gauges. No wastegate control and extra fuel = HIGH EGT... IF you had a boost reading, with a stock HX35W turbo, you can estimate the power output. But I do agree that a nice tight tranny definitely helps on the power to the ground dept. You can gain up to 10% HP just from an upgraded TC.

Forgot about that...Excellent advice! Sometime I take for granted that everyone has gauges

I blew part of the intake manifold gasket out, what could cause that? And southeast power systems also changed the dowel pin and did some other things when they did the work. the tranny came with a 3 year unlimited hp, unlimited tow weight, unlimited mile warranty and it really made a difference. so with a different torque plate would be the way to go? and Ill do some research on what they put in also.

Do u have gauges? Lots of boost will blow that gasket. First u NEED gauges (if u don't have them, pyro, boost, and trans temp). Next how much boost are u running, and what are ur EGT's like. After that it's alot easier to tell which direction people should point u in. If ur EGT's are out of control, a bigger turbo and exhaust and a better intake than a K&N would be a good idea.

You haven't addressed the gauges question yet. Nice specs on the tranny, congrats, but if you blow the engine up, it will just be a nice tranny with no go..

So? Gauges???

no gauges, I will be ordering them though. I was told I didnt have to worry about egts yet by southeast thats why I havent bought them, but Im starting to wonder about them now. And I know egts are very critical, but I didnt think I was at that point yet, obviously I am though. Where should I go for them?? And I was thinking about the Big Head from banks for the wastegate control, would that be a good idea? And how long can I keep going on a stock exhaust with no muffler and gutted converter?

Hopefully ur EGT's have been in check. I bet u've hit 1400 alot with the setup u have and racing around. Isspro gauges are good, lots of places to get them through. Try www.citydiesel.net they've been good to me, so u might try them. I think the shop u went to did steer u alittle wrong, u should have a a egt gauge even if u move ur stock plate forward. And since ur truck blows alot of smoke, that leads me to believe it's even hotter since all that fuels not burning.
