12 inch or 13 inch clutch

today i priced a centerforce clutch at a dodge dealer they guys at the parts desk claim that the 2001 have either a 12 or 13 inch cluth wondering if this is true if so how can you tell the differance thank you for any help

12'in is factory. You can upgrade to a 13'in with an aftermarket clutch. I upgraded to the southbend CON OFE 13in.

I thought it was a difference between the nv4500 and the nv5600?

SO nv4500 5 spds have a 12 and HO nv5600 6 spds have a 13.

As I understand it, the ETC (SO) have the 12" clutch, and the ETH (HO) have the 13" clutch. The NV5600 was available with the SO engines in 99 and 00, but had the smaller 1-1/4" input shaft, and small clutch. HO's have the 1-3/8" input shaft and larger clutch.

Your truck will have the smaller clutch. South Bend Clutch makes a conversion so you can use the larger clutch......

If you dont think your planning on going over 400-450 i would look at a South Bend OFE Anything more go with the 13" conversion FE holds to 550.
