09 1500
Test drove a 09 1500 yesterday.Boy its trick and FAST!!!! Oil temp, engine temp, trans temp monitors.Super seats.Dash and instruments are nice.Railroad tracks at 50 mph are real smooth better then my Gran Marquis by far.On moderate to hard accel the trans is butter smooth.Cruising at 45 mph and stand on the throttle is FUN.Can bang 100mph before you realize what the tach and speedo is reading.Definitely a opportunity for your foot to get your butt in hot water.Makes you want to stick your tongue out at ricers.

Yeah you can even hold 22 cold ones in the fender with ice, not to mention 24 in the rear under the mats. On a serious note i think the truck looks great, sure would like to have one.

As soon as the 08s leave the dealers and prices get slashed on the 09s I think I'm going to get one.My 98 I'll sell outright etc. That 09 was one fun ride.

My local dealer has two an SLT and a Laramie. All i did was sit not drive because i knew what would happen. I think it is the best looking truck on the market, wonder exactly when the 3/4 and 1 tons are coming out.

The new 09 is a bad truck. I test drove a 1500 crew cab sport 4x4 and loved the way it handled with the new rear suspension, has plenty of get up and go, but when I saw the $45,000 sticker I got a little scared, I hope chrysler will come out with better rebates because they are only offering $1000 now and the dealer didn't want to move on the price much probably since they still have 25 08 1500s. I can't wait to see and drive the 2010 1500 5.0 diesel....

That will probably be my next truck - with a Hemi. If it's only a 2 to 3 mpg hit between that and a diesel (I've read they're getting 15-16 mixed - I get 17-18 mixed), and a lifetime powertrain warranty (with optional lifetime extended warranty on non-powertrain pieces), and the fact that I'm not going to be towing heavy makes it a very good possibility.
The only thing I didn't like was the tailgate - my gosh - I think that thing weighs only about 15 lbs. or so. It's ridiculously light - like so light I'd be afraid to place anything on it - including my large derrier :-)

or maybe the tailgate has some sort of lift assist? I had an 05 Ford 1/2 ton that had lift assist on the tailgate and you could literally lift and close it with one finger.

Remember Arnold?
I'm probably going to catch a lot of crap for this..but..
You guys probably have better things to do than watch TV, but the new Ram is being shown off prominently on the Fox Terminator series. The latest episode (5) has lots of good shots of it, including the tailgate and Ram box. Also shows the interior, dash and grab handles. You can watch it here:
http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=tscc
Mostly at the beginning and end of the show. Like most Dodge designs, it sure looks better in real life (or on film anyway) than in still pictures.
It's the only show I watch, promise!
P.S. For those of you feeling lucky and gullible enough to provide your contact info, there is also a sweekstakes to win a new Ram. I think you can enter weekly; http://www.fox.com/terminator/ram/
