I was not sure if the 07 taillights will fit an 06? Has anyone tried it and if so, is there anywhere I can look to get a set of 07's other than ebay? The dealer cost is crazy I wouldnt even consider that if I can find them used.

If you're talking about the new taillights with the two "punchout sections" then they will physically fit, but the wiring is different ... I haven't looked but I know this question has been asked before ... try some searching or maybe one of our X,000+ posters will chime in with the thread or the answer.

I believe the 07's have 3 wiring connections and the 06's only have 2, so they would have to be modded(re-wired) to fit - but physically they will fit the opening if you figure out the wiring... I think cbrahs(sp?) has info on it, he did the Recon upgrade which I believe required this - hopefully he will chime in....

The link shows how to install and wire 06 Recon LED tail lights into an 07 truck. You should be able to figure out how to wire it the other way (07 tail light in to an 06) with out much effort,

When I got my nightrunner headlights I found the best price I could get with shipping and went to the local dealer and asked the parts guy if he could beat the price and he did!
The lights will fit in the same hole but you will have to modify the wiring harness to work with the new lights.
