06 manual transmission leak

After 46 k miles, I have a fluid leak at the front of the manual transmission. What does it take to fix it, does it need immeadiate attention?

It could be the shift book leaking. When they crack and split oil will run down the sides of the trans making it look like you have a bigger problem than you think. Hopefully that it is what it is anyway!

Are you sure it is trans fluid? If it is near the front of your trans check the little hose in this picture, the clamps tend to need tightening every fall, it will leak and run down the block right neat the front of the trans.

When my shift boot was leaking it ran down the back of the trans. The boot is located under the console in the truck. This is not hard to replace.

if it is the shift boot, now is the time to add the extra quart of atf. also the dual mass flywheel causes problems that starts the front seal to leak. you need to chang it out to the south bend kit anyway. it will never make a 100,000 miles

06's are famous for that coolant leak. Mine dripped off the front of the bellhousing, and since Mopar dies their HOAT red...

Yes, it has an oily feel to the leak which is at the front of the tranny. It feels/looks just like the ATF4 which I added to the tranny. It was down about 1/4 of a quart. Thanks for the help.
