06 auto accelerates when stopping

When coming to a complete stop my truck feels like it is stuck in 1st gear and trys to accelerate. I have to apply alot of brake to keep it sitting still. This problem started 2 weeks ago and has gotten worse. Any ideas?

sure hope thats not the problem. something has to be slipping for that thing to stop with the torque locked and i dont think the lockup takes to highly to that idea. Your brakes work fine otherwise? Could be something just with the master cylinder or a lack of vacum (not familiar with the brake set up. im assuming it has a vacum pump). You havent put some different oil from the usual in the tranny have you.

Brakes work well. When I come to a stop I have to apply full pressure on the brakes to hold the truck back and when I let off the brakes the truck takes off. I did change the trans filter and fluid with the approved items about 10000 ago. My truck has about 70000 miles on it.

TC is tango uniform. There is a sprag that allows the TC to lockup tighter with higher rpm's and transfer power better, when they go bad its like you have a very low stall partially locked TC.

Why did my TC go out at 67000 miles? I don't haul that much and I'm very easy on my truck. Anybody know if it is covered by the drive train warranty.

There have been a rash of these types of failures lately in that mileage range. I think Dodge did a change for the 06's that did not work out like it should have.

Unfortunately your drive train warranty expired at 35k. You are SOL getting it warrantied. Time to decide what you want and get a GOOD one that will make it a new truck.
