06 apps?
Have a 2006 5 speed showing P2121, having hard starting and losing power at intermittent times(back to idle). The APPS is in the accelerator peddle. Is there an aftermarket source for this APPS?
I took it apart and it does not have the POT style like the 05. It uses odd shaped circuit board traces in close proximity in a circular pattern.
Thanks

look up my past threads and see, i have dealt with that PITA code a few times and it took ALOT to get rid of it, but start with the simple and go from there... could be anything from a loose ground, or wire making contact that shouldnt, to your tranny solenoids or even another DTC causing it...
and on your 06, its the whole pedal itself on an auto, not sure on a manual..... and FAIK, they were on backorder...

05+ trucks use the pedal signal, instead of an engine or engine bay mounted APPS.
I presume it's an auto since you said 5 speed, but the auto is actually a 4 speed.
Here is the FSM info on a P2121.

Sorry I had a typo it is a Six speed manual and yes the whole peddle has to be changed. It seems to screw up more when farther depressed. The truck will actually jump and shutter. Even sitting still when you get the revs up and let off. I have been strapping wires and cleaning grounds. Previous owner had the engine rebuilt and did not near get everything right. Said a leaky injector ruined the engine. I smell some BS from somewhere.
AH64 Thanks for the diagrams. That will help alot.
TX Diesel What did it turn out to be in your case?
EDIT: Just found one for $101.38 shipped so I ordered it.

its hard to say, i tried a new ttva motor, old one was just fine, i finally got the issue fixed by having new solenoids in trans done, all wires loomed and tightened, all connections to the PCM cleaned, and zip tied so that the connectors would not come loose, and a new APPS, i did all of the above, and changed the FC out, and all went back to normal.. knock on wood..
remember, other dtcs can screw with ur truck as well.. do i know what it was exactly no.. but if i had to pick, id say trans solenoids and non loomed wiring were the most likely culprits... all three in my family are autos.. so on yours i might just try a reset, or check the computer connections...
that **** code is a royal PITA...
AH64ID, where were you when i had these problems LOL.. thanks for the useful info...
