06/07 Exhaust ?????

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. I'm looking into buying a 07 Ram. But I have plans on doing a turbo back exhaust. Can I remove the cat. with out having any problems? Or should i just start looking for a 03 to 05 model? I'll be greatful for any info on this subject.

You'll be fine, just remember the emissions testing will change in 2010.

For 04.5 to 07 (5.9l motors)...you dont need to spend the $'s on a turbo back...it's already 4" all the way....just swap out the muffler ($100) and a tip ($50), and loose the kitty if you so choose (although not worth it in my opinion)...that will support up to 550-600 hp...if your shooting for more than that then i guess a 5" turbo back would be worth it.

I was going to ask why he's already got it in his mind to change the whole exhaust...

I see myself as always getting carried away with upgrades. So before I buy a truck I wanna do the research before hand. To maybe save a couple bucks or a couples head aches in the long run.

Ditto. That's all I did minus the new tip. My intake is the stocker and the PSM downtube. Threw in an AFE PG7 dropin. Quiet and flows all day. We installed a Magnaflow 5" ss turboback in my friend's '05 and he hates it. We've got to raise our voices to converse and drones something fierce. He gets in mine, shakes his head and says "Why'd I do it?"
