i got one one mine and i love it. Its also has a 2 year warranty on it and it stops me no problem with or with out a trailer on. I hardly use my regular brakes now. This brake has so much brake power, it will actually squak the tires slowing the truck down. I also paid about 800 less for the bd brake compared to the pac brake.I got my brake cheap compareds to most. (Like almost cost)

i have had my prxb for 2 years now, 20k miles. I love it. slows my 10k trailer nice, and just about stops the truck.
the install is straightfoward and the wiring and hoses are a very sanitary install.

Exhaust brakes for 03/04 autos are rough on torque converters. Apparently it’s best to run them in conjunction with a torque converter lockup device, that way you get max braking power to the rear wheels. Both Pac and BD both recommend and sell this for the respective brakes.

A 2 year warranty is good for some but 3 year 100,000 parts and labor is better

I was told that a brake would not work on a 04-04.5 auto, and the truck would loose the warranty. I really wanted one but desided not tooo because of this reason. Maybe someone will add some insight, if I am incorrect.

you are showing warranty concerns but you have a diablo, and are doing tranny work? kind of contradictory.
the dealer has seen my pacbrake, and only asked my how much i like the air operated setup.
with an auto on the older rigs, you'll need the computer to lock the converter when the brake is applied.

Yes, warranty work say the motor, my dealer has no problem with the programmer at all, infact they sell them and will install tune if you pay them. And yes I was a big boy and told them about the trans that I cooked, and asked if I bought aftermarket would they install, wasn't a problem. BUT if I put the brake on they would not warranty the motor. And the programmer, I am up there in age and I do not pull, race (maybe some mild street stuff, but one of my cars, well thats a completely different animal, if some rice burner want's to race my 585 camaro, have had it, has not been one yet too get me, hit the 500 hidden NOS, theres 1400+ on the ground, so what i'm saying is I don't race my truck, i have other devices to purge on. So what I have a programmer for fuel mileage and some onramp merge capabilities. ) and do not burnout at every stop , but hey it smoked the tranny and I am going to pay, thats on me. But my concern is the motor, there's a reason it was not offered on the truck correct.

Cummins tells us exhaust brake manufactures how much back pressure we can safely put on to the engine. They use the same 5.9 engine for both STD & AUTO Trans. So the question to the dealer is why would you void an engine warranty and not just the Trans war if the brake causes a failure? If you don’t lock up the torque converter you’re going to have issues. How many exhaust brakes manufactures cover progressive damage? Hmmmm I can only think of one and it starts with PAC, Why because we know what our products can and can't do.

Harold, I don't know ther answer to that, I can say that I really want one because the only thing this truck does is pull heavy loads, like my 30 foot construction trailer or maybe a backhoe if I feel lucky that day. I really could use one, I drove my brothers dually with a brake from dc, I really liked the control. Can you shoot me a pm how much the whole setup is and I will ask the dealer again when they put my new cluster in. I am mechanicaly inclined but because of warranty, I would rather have them do the install. One other question is the air system freeze at all?
