i did them in my 03, i have lots of tools. you don't need anything really special, and the first time it took me about 7 hrs, i ended up re doing that job cause i thought i had a problem, so i took them out and re did the job, that took about 3 hrs. i was being very picky and clean with everything, so depending on your skills, it will be in there somewhere. i am not a mechanic, but i do lots of that type of work. i am sure some others can do it a bit faster, but i spoke with a diesel shop before doing it to see what they charged, and they told me 3 hrs for labour. i just hate letting others work on my stuff cause for the most part, they don't care enough to take their time and keep things clean.

I just installed some on my 06 from DDP, look up their website, they've got good detailed instructions if you need. 2 main tools are a ft. lbs. torque wrench and an inch lbs. torque wrench....was my first time, took 6 hours wasn't in a big rush.

First, you should get the coppers for the injector tip seals. Second, you might get a set (2) of intake neck gaskets, Third, wash the engine before starting any work.
Depending on the mileage, you might consider resetting the valve adjustments while doing the injector swap. If memory serves, I believe it's .010 & .020 , intake and exhaust respectively.
