02 high output alt.

I have an 02 2500 with a 24valve that I plow with. The alt. keeps up fine any time except when I'm plowing. I have a fisher 8 1/2' e-z v. The batteries a new along with the alt. Does anybody know of a high output alt for my truck? I have had everything checked out by an auto elec. shop and the only problem is that the alt can't keep up. It's the 140 amp, so they said I need tio be around 200 amp, but he can't get the parts to build one. Drives me nuts when the lights get dim while plowing! Any help is great! thanks, Cory

The alternator in these trucks is rebuildable to about 200amp by rewinding them. Find a different auto electric shop to rewind the current alternator and you should be fine.
