will 01 1500 cab swap onto my 97 2500?

Found a wrecked 01 1500 club cab with the suicide doors. My interior on my 97 is crap, also would love the exra doors. Will it bolt up??

If you have a club cab, the length should be the same. I can't guarantee it, but I'm pretty sure the cab itself wouldn't be an issue.

The issue, however, would be that the instrument panel would have to be swapped in from your diesel, and the wiring is different. The 01 will have a different PCM, and the wiring would need to be swapped out with your 97.

I'm sure there is more to this as well...

I'm going to look tonight. If nothing nothing else, the interior, tail gate and misc trip is worth what they want for it...
I expect to have to change the harnesses and electronics.

Take some measurements of your body mounts and go compare. From what I remember reading the frames are pretty different between the 1/2 and 3/4 tons so I would lean towards no, but the body mounts could be the same.
