Anyone remember who built the diesel engines that Dodge was using back in the late 70s or early 80s. I test drove one in Fairbanks somewhere about that time frame. It was one under powered beast, especially with the auto transmission. Seem to remember it being a Japanese built engine but not for sure.<br>thanks<br>joe b.

I believe it was a Mitsubishi diesel.

I believe it was Mitsubishi in the late 70's, but it was a Perkins before.
