For a few years anyway, Cummins is going to the urea to.....Might as well firmly put the nail in the coffin of new diesels, the 6.7 was pretty close gotta finish it

Have no idea, it could be either model. It's really tough to say, Chrysler, the dealers no one has any idea what is going on. It is pathetic.

A mechanic that works for us has a 6.4 ford with 230k km's, f-450, and the thing has treated him well, other than the poor milage, and a radiator. Got me looking at fords, but I want to see what this new dodge is like. One thing I noticed looking at the half tons, is they now have a larger crew cab, but they are still using the small seat out of the quad cab. Hopefully the 2500's are different.

The cummins doesn't got much on the powerstroke or duramax since the stupid emissions. They are all nothing but plastic and electronics that I wouldn't even think of owning. It is nice though, the new trucks don't even tempt me. When I seen the 2010's I was like nope! I like my truck 100x better which is nice for the wallet

As for the Ford comment, well, I lost some respect for you. Ugly ugly trucks! I think I said something about that in this thread already.

You know you don't want a new truck, you could just dump all that extra money into the old one!

LOL,, lets do it... but I have been talking to alot of guys, and the new 6.4 once you get rid of the dpf and put the spartan tuner on it is getting fairly decent mileage. I have heard as high as 22 23 mpg.. almost as good as what my chevy is getting now

I have a hard time believing that mileage as the Frod is so big and block shaped. I have hit 20 mpgUS in the 08 on the flat highway, but not hand calculated to confirm. I would not trade the exhaust brake for the compound turbos and extra 2 cylinders, oh and the Mega...LOL.. I looked under the hood of the 6.4 and the 7 slant mounted rads are a little nutz... Whats all the cooling for?

I dont know,, but I personally wouldnt really ever work on it.... it is just my daily, I save all my work for the dodge. I would look at at dodge but who knows when they might actually bring them out. And I just absolutely can not live with the seats in the 09's. For my oversized body they just dont work. I do way to much driving to be able to live with those (beautiful truck, crappy seats)

I believe that mileage, I see it every day with my chevy (hand calculated) I have to run on level 5 to get that though, on level 3 or 4 it drops down to 19

That Spartan tuner is supposedly the holy grail for the ford 6.4 (kinda like the smarty for the dodge)

I agree though with you on the exhaust brake, I would really like that

oh man decisions

I order one of the last 09 to be produced 3500 ctd trucks. They cancelled my order. I ordered in July and was told August and as it was a special order. I wonder why its been so long to get the new truck to the market. They must have a tons of 09 left or they are production issues. I was gonna order a new early 10 truck, I was told that it will be the same driveline as the 09 late run. Its gonna be one nice interior for a work truck. I might buy one next spring if they give me a smoken deal.

Not alot of info on the new design, but it should be a nice looking truck. I wonder how long until you can get a decent lift kit for the new design.

Very little suspension changes. Should be out very quick. Yea Chrysler is so disorganized like always. I have said since I bought my current truck and had all the problems, I will never buy a new Chrysler vehicle, ever.

Drove by the local dealer tonight, they have a 2010 HD on the lot. Didn't slow to take a good look at it, but I might have to go take one for a spin soon.

I saw the new truck as well Tate. You can be the first on the block to own one.

I can wait till spring. I want a decent price break or I'll buy a ford like Kev. I have to go down today and pick-up my new steering gearbox. My truck eats them like candy, just like hubs and ball joints. I only got 70k out my rebuilt front end this time

Mike you might have to look at getting a steering box from a 450/550 like on Luke's project truck. Probably will take a little work to make it fit, but I guarantee it will hold up longer. Either that or goto hydro assist.

Something about going 160kph on rough roads might have something to do with it.. Lets see, I have 1 loose ball joint at 317,000 km...

Brett, I like the idea. I just looked at the 2010 front. Its almost the same deal as the 09, except for tubluar control arms. Wow, the bars have been really beefed up.

I just picked up the dodge re-man gearbox, front hub, and everything else. I want to order some king shocks next year. Been thinking about putting king pin kit and just get rid of that junk. Ford front end in a dodge truck, best of the best, I think...At least it look like a truck should.

I forgot to add the link
