Another Getrag Lube Question

I was nosing around in Walmart, looking at the various oils, when I saw three types of MOBIL fully synthetic 5W-30.

Plain old 5W-30 fully synthetic.

Truck and SUV 5W-30 fully synthetic.

Extended Service 5W-30 fully synthetic, which was over two dollars more per quart than the plain old fully synthetic.

Would there be any advantage to a Getrag to use the higher priced stuff; or, is it, most likely, the same stuff in three different bottles??

I already have several quarts of the plain 5W-30 Mobil fully synthetic, when I found it marked for $2.88/quart, sitting between $6.38/quart of other weights.

Needless to say, I stocked up.

Even in a bone-stock truck, a FUEL-PRESSURE-GAUGE is the first gauge you should install.
Splice an in-line fuel-filter AHEAD of the lift-pump and carry a few spares.

Those three are all fully PAO-based synthetics. The EP has a more robust add pack intended to support long drain intervals for the engine oil. The 5w30 T&SUV is supposed to have an add pack aimed at gasser trucks and SUVs, "not" diesel rated like the old 5w40 T&SUV. The lower priced stuff is the original formula for use in any gasser.

If I was splurging on a good syn oil for the rag, I'd go with something like RP synchromax, of a boutique flavor from SF like their MTL-P. 10w30 or ATF will work OK, but there are alot better things out there if you're going to get into that price range.

Plain jane Mobil1 synthetic is fine. Those others are the same, only with extra additives or whatnot. Not necessary for the ole gutbag.
